Selection Process and Exam Pattern for Bihar TRE 4.0

1. Preliminary Examination (Screening Test)
- Objective type exam consisting of 150 questions for 150 marks (Duration: 2 hours).
- Syllabus: General Science, National and International Current Affairs, History of India & Bihar, General Geography & Geography of Bihar, Indian Polity & Economy, post-independence Bihar economy changes, National Movement & Bihar's role, and General Mental Ability.
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark deducted per incorrect answer. Questions have 5 options (A to E). If not attempting a question, marking Option E is mandatory; leaving it completely blank results in a 1/3rd negative mark deduction.
2. Shortlisting for Main Exam
Candidates will be shortlisted at a ratio between 2.5 times and 10 times the notified vacancies based on Prelim scores plus guest teacher weightage.
