Major Recruiting Boards in Rajasthan
Rajasthan government exams are mainly conducted by two independent state boards:
Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC): Located in Ajmer, RPSC is responsible for top-level jobs. It conducts exams for Grade-A and Grade-B posts like RAS/RTS officers, Sub-Inspectors (SI), School Lecturers, and College Professors.
Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSMSSB / RSSB): Located in Jaipur, this board handles recruitment for Grade-C and ministerial desk jobs. This includes popular posts like Patwari, Junior Assistant, Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Stenographer, and Informatics Assistant (IA).
Department-Specific Boards: Some departments run their own recruitment drives, such as the Rajasthan Police Recruitment Board (for Constables) and the Education Department (for REET/Teachers).
Rajasthan CET (Common Eligibility Test) Rules
If you want to apply for direct non-gazetted jobs under RSMSSB, you must qualify the state-level screening test (CET) first. Based on your qualification, there are two types of CET exams:
Graduate Level CET: Mandatory for candidates with a college degree who want to apply for posts like Patwari, Platoon Commander, Ziledar, and Female Supervisor.
Senior Secondary (12th Pass) CET: The baseline requirement for 12th-pass candidates targeting desk or field jobs like LDC, Junior Assistant, Rajasthan Police Constable, and Forest Guard.
7th Pay Commission Salary Structure in Rajasthan
The state government follows the official Rajasthan Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules with Pay Matrix Levels ranging from L-1 to L-14.
Important Rule: Every newly selected candidate has to serve a mandatory 2-year probation period. During this time, you will receive a fixed monthly salary (stipend) without additional benefits like Dearness Allowance (DA) or House Rent Allowance (HRA). Regular full pay scale along with all allowances starts only after completing these 2 years.

Make sure all details (like your name, spelling, and father's name) match your online application profile exactly. Candidates must bring original documents along with self-attested photocopies:
Bonafide Resident Certificate (Mool Niwas Praman Patra): The absolute most important document required to prove you are a resident of Rajasthan and to claim local state benefits.
Class 10 Marksheet & Certificate: Used as the official and final legal proof for your date of birth.
Caste and Category Certificates: EWS, OBC, MBC, SC, or ST certificates. Remember that OBC and MBC Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificates must be fresh and valid for the current financial year.
SSO ID Application Form & CET Scorecard: A printed copy of your original online application form filed via the SSO portal and your active CET marksheet.
Computer Qualification Proof: A valid RS-CIT Certificate from VMOU Kota, or an equivalent higher degree/diploma in computers, which is mandatory for almost all clerical and desk jobs.
