Salary Structure: How much will a Clerk earn?

Selected candidates will get a great salary package according to the Haryana Civil Services Rules. The basic salary scale is Pay Matrix Level-2 (Rs. 19,900 - Rs. 63,200).

Along with the basic pay, you will get Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Medical Allowance, and Travel Allowance. A freshly joined Clerk will get an in-hand monthly salary of around Rs. 27,000 to Rs. 32,000 depending on the city they are posted in.

Selection Process: How to get the Job?

The selection process is straightforward and is divided into three clear steps:

• Stage 1: Online Written Exam (CBT): This is a 2-hour computer-based exam of 100 marks. It has two parts: General Knowledge (50 marks objective type) and English Composition (50 marks, split into 20 marks objective and 30 marks descriptive like essay, letter, and precis writing). There is a negative marking of 1/4th mark for every wrong objective answer. You need to score at least 33% in each subject and 40% overall to pass.
• Stage 2: Computer Proficiency Test (CPT): This is a qualifying test only. It has a spreadsheet test (10 minutes) and an English typing test on a keyboard where you need a typing speed of at least 30 words per minute (WPM).
• Stage 3: Document Verification (DV): Checking your original certificates before the final joining letter is given.
