TGPSC Assistant Environmental Engineer Salary Structure

Selected candidates will receive an excellent monthly salary according to the Telangana State revised pay scales. The monthly basic pay scale is ₹54,220 – ₹1,33,630.

Apart from this basic pay, you will also get Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other benefits allowed by the state government. This brings your gross monthly in-hand salary well above the basic starting figure, making it one of the best-paying entry-level engineering jobs in Telangana.

Eligibility Criteria for TGPSC AEE Jobs 2026

Educational Qualifications

Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications from a recognized university or institution as of 2 June 2026:

• A Bachelor’s Degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Bio-Technology, Mining, or Environmental Engineering.
• OR A Bachelor's degree in any branch of engineering along with a Post Graduate (PG) degree in Environmental Engineering.
• OR Passed Sections A and B of the AMIE (India) Civil Examination.

• Minimum Age Limit: 18 Years

Upper Age Relaxation: Relaxations apply to reserved categories as per the rules of the Telangana Government:

• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years relaxation

TGPSC AEE Selection Process and Exam Pattern

The selection process is straightforward, simple, and clean. There is no personal interview round. Your selection is decided entirely by your marks in a single competitive written examination.

Written Exam Pattern

The written test will be objective type (multiple choice questions) and consists of two papers for a total of 450 marks:

• Paper I: General Studies & General Abilities | 150 Questions | 150 Marks (Bilingual: English & Telugu)
• Paper II: Environmental Engineering (Concerned Subject) | 150 Questions | 300 Marks (In English only)

Since Paper II carries double weightage (2 marks per question), you should focus heavily on your core environmental subject topics. The minimum qualifying marks required to clear the test are 40% for OC/EWS, 35% for BC, and 30% for SC, ST, and PwD categories. Candidates who qualify on merit will be called for document verification and a basic medical fitness test.
