Reservation for Ex-Servicemen (ESM)

Preference is given to Ex-Servicemen in ECHS recruitments. The post-wise reservation percentage specified in the official Qualitative Requirements is as follows:

• Medical Specialist: 60%
• Medical Officer: 60%
• Dental Assistant/Hygienist: 70%
• Physiotherapist: 70%
• Clerk: 70%

Ex-Servicemen applicants must attach self-attested copies of PPO, Discharge Book, and ESM Identity Card with their application.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be based on the following evaluation stages:

1. Screening of Applications: Received applications and attached supporting documents will be scrutinized for eligibility criteria and experience.
2. Interview: Shortlisted eligible candidates will be called for an interview. The exact date, time, and venue details will be notified individually via email and telephone.
3. Document Verification: Original certificates will be verified at the time of the interview.

Terms & Conditions of Contractual Appointment

• The engagement is purely contractual for an initial period of one year.
• The contract performance and conduct will be reviewed before extension.
• Subject to satisfactory performance, the contract may be extended on a year-to-year basis up to the post-wise maximum age limit.
• Contractual staff are not entitled to regular government employee benefits, financial allowances, or perks.
• The contract may be terminated from either side by giving a 1-month notice.
• Requests for transfer between ECHS Polyclinics will not be entertained during the initial 12 months.
• Candidates previously terminated or denied second-year contractual extension in ECHS are not eligible to apply.
