IAF MTS Vacancy Details 2026

The total number of vacancies announced for the Multi-Tasking Staff post is 6. This is a permanent station/unit level job under the Central Government. The category-wise distribution of seats is as follows:

Application Fee

There is no application fee for this recruitment. Candidates from all categories (General, OBC, EWS, SC, ST, PwD) can fill out and send the application form free of cost.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit (As of 26 July 2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 25 Years
• Age relaxation will be provided to reserved categories as per government rules (OBC gets 3 years, SC/ST gets 5 years, and PwD candidates get 10 years).

2. Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have passed 10th standard (Matriculation) or equivalent from a recognized board.
• Desirable: 1 year of experience working as a Watchman, Lascar, Gestetner Operator, or Mali in an organization. (Note: Experience is optional but preferred).

Selection Process

The selection of applicants for the Indian Air Force MTS posts will be completed through the following stages:

1. Scrutiny of Applications: Shortlisted eligible candidates will receive call letters for the exam.
2. Written Examination: Candidates have to clear an objective-type test.
3. Document Verification: Original documents will be checked.
4. Medical Examination: Final medical checkup before appointment.

Salary & Pay Scale

Selected candidates for the post of Group C Multi-Tasking Staff will get a salary under Pay Matrix Level-1 (as per 7th CPC). The monthly basic pay scales between Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 56,900 along with standard central government allowances and benefits.

Follow these simple steps to ensure your application form isn't rejected:

1. Visit the official website indianairforce.nic.in or download the application form from the link below.
2. Take a clean printout of the official application format on an A4 sheet.
3. Fill in all the blocks with correct information using a blue or black pen.
4. Attach self-attested copies of all your required documents.
5. Put everything inside an envelope. On top of the envelope, write clearly in block letters: “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF MULTI-TASKING STAFF AND CATEGORY _________”.
6. Don't forget to include the smaller self-addressed envelope with the Rs. 10 stamp inside.
