Eligible candidates can now submit their online application forms up to 29 June 2026. Previously, the registration window was scheduled to close on 18 June 2026.

Branch-wise Vacancy Distribution

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Navy B.Tech Entry 2026

Only unmarried Indian citizens (both males and females) meeting the strict criteria mentioned below are eligible to join:

1. Educational Qualifications

• Must have cleared your Senior Secondary Examination (Class 12 / 10+2 pattern) or its equivalent from any recognized school education board.
• Must have scored a minimum aggregate of 70% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in Class 12.
• Must have secured at least 50% marks in English either in your Class 10 or Class 12 exam.
• It is compulsory to have appeared in the JEE Main 2026 exam for B.E. / B.Tech courses. The shortlisting for the SSB interview rounds will rely entirely on your All India Common Rank List (CRL).

2. Age Limit & Date of Birth Range

There is no relaxation in age parameters for any category candidates under this scheme. Your birth date must strictly fall within the following range:

• Eligible DOB Window: Born between 02 July 2007 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive).

3. Physical & Medical Conditions

Candidates must be in top medical health. Candidates already certified fit for the NDA/INA January 2027 course do not need to go through separate medical screenings.

Salary, Stipend, and Rank Perks

During the 4 years of professional training at INA Ezhimala, all costs related to academics, uniform sets, boarding, and meals are fully paid for by the Indian Navy. Cadets also receive a standard monthly training stipend.

Upon successful graduation, you will be commissioned in the Indian Navy as a permanent officer with the rank of Sub Lieutenant. Your pay structure will align with the 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level 10:

• Starting Basic Pay: ₹56,100 per month.
• In-hand Salary Estimate: Around ₹85,000 to ₹1,10,000 per month (inclusive of Military Service Pay, Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and kit maintenance perks).

Selection Process Outline

The appointment process does not include any separate written entry screening. It follows these distinct filtration phases:

1. JEE Main 2026 CRL Shortlisting: Naval Headquarters determines a baseline CRL cut-off rank. Candidates matching or beating this threshold receive an invitation letter for the SSB interview by email or SMS text.
2. SSB Interview: A rigorous 5-day evaluation routine organized at regional Service Selection Boards (located in Bengaluru, Bhopal, Kolkata, or Visakhapatnam) starting from September 2026 onwards. It involves intelligence rating tests, psychological assessments, group task challenges, and personal interviews.
3. Medical Board Evaluation: A detailed physiological fitness checkup performed at a designated military hospital.
4. Final Merit List: Created based purely on the marks scored during your 5-day SSB interview phase, subject to clearing medical parameters and police background verifications.
