Eligibility Criteria for JSSC JTGLCCE 2026

1. Educational Qualification (Post-wise)

Candidates must possess a degree in specific subjects related to the post they are applying for. The qualification should be completed before the final registration closing date:

• Block Statistics Supervisor / Auditor: Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Commerce, or Statistics from a recognized university.
• Inspector & Assistant Officer (VBD Control): Bachelor's Degree in Science (B.Sc) from a recognized university.
• Assistant Keet Vigyanvetta: Post-Graduation (Master's Degree) in Life Science with specialization in Entomology.
• Dairy Technical Officer: Graduation in Dairy Technology or Dairy (Gavya) Science.
• Fisheries Extension Supervisor: Graduation in Fisheries Science or Zoology (Honours).
• Lab Assistant (Physics / Chemistry): Graduation with Honours in Physics or Chemistry respectively.
• Junior Scientific Assistant: Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Science, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or Medicine. You also need a minimum of 6 months of drug-testing experience.

2. Age Limit (As on 01 August 2025)

The minimum age required to apply is 21 years. The upper age limit varies by candidate category:

• General / EWS (Male): 35 Years
• BC-I & BC-II (Male): 37 Years
• Female (General / EWS / BC-I / BC-II): 38 Years
• SC / ST (Male & Female): 40 Years

Relaxation Note: PwBD candidates get a 10-year relaxation, and Ex-Servicemen get a 5-year relaxation in the upper age limit.

3. Domicile and Regional Language Requirement

To claim reservation benefits, a valid local resident certificate from Jharkhand state is mandatory. Candidates also need to be familiar with at least one local or regional language of Jharkhand (such as Hindi, Khortha, Nagpuri, Santhali, Odia, Urdu, etc.) for the mandatory language paper in the examination.

Selection Process

The JSSC selection process is divided into three key steps to recruit the best-suited candidates:

1. Preliminary Examination: An objective MCQ test carrying 120 questions. It covers General Studies, Jharkhand GK, Science, Maths, and Mental Ability. Shortlisted candidates (15 times the total vacancies) will move to the next stage. (Note: If total applications are less than 50,000, JSSC might directly conduct the Mains Exam).
2. Main Examination: This exam has three separate papers:
   • Paper 1: Language Knowledge (Hindi & English - Qualifying nature with 30% marks needed).
   • Paper 2: Tribal & Regional Language (100 marks - marks are counted in final merit list).
   • Paper 3: Technical/Specialist Subject along with General Knowledge (150 questions - main merit decider).
